Hey friends

Hello!!!
I hope you have had a fantastic week, I sure have. you know what is weird, growing as a person, I MEAN REALLY NOW! you would think when your 19 you would hae stopped growing now. However God is not finished with me, not even close, if Kaleo has taugh me one thing that would be it.:)

I LOVE KALEO. If I could describe kaleo in one word I would say Running.
you wanna know why, well. It's hard some times you want to puke your guts out,
however
the reward of finishing the race is incredible, you feel healthier, and overall in some sick way it feels amazing and refreshing, even though your super tired.
I love it.
This week was pretty swell, it stated off with me going to youth which was fun we watched a movie for a bit, than finished off with Ellie doing devotions along with some games, overall it was superb. I look foward to seeing the children each and every week. they are sooo cute. Sunday was a great service at church. Vince invited us over to a feist at our house, can I just say one thing, caramel apple pie, with whip cream is to die for.
home work is finally slowing down which is swell, I think my pulse is working again which is nice.
24/7 prayer week. HELLO! praying an hour a day was wounderious. I really felt as though God was working though me, HE STILL IS ! its happening baby. God is anwsering many prayers, and I love praying for you guys too. I would like to continue this prayer week in my daily sced .
Overall I am loving CM so far Dave maybe could be the best teacher so far, we'll just wait and see.

rain rain go away:) come again NEVEA'

thanks for reading my blog, and thanks for all your prayers as well. this week was a bit tiring with all the home work and late nights . what can i say bible school is a rough business. however i made it here once again, another monday im breathing no pig flu, and i even went against my morals and got the shot. you can call me katrena. im very brave. here me roar.
anyway learning the books in the OT. was really interesting i just we had even more time to dissect them to there full potential . very useful material that can benefit us in this day and age believe it or not.
friday youth was spend at the clippers hockey game. which was fine. i enjoy spending time with the kids. they give me hugs, and they are really cute , i remember being 13 and thinking that i could not mature any more , boy was i wrong. they are all gifts from God, so unique and full of life. Sunday I onced again helped out with sunday school, the topic was relevant to what we were learning in OT, it was the story of Abraham, I feel at home at lady Smith Baptist, they are very welcoming, and they count there blessings.
here at kaleo i am finding every one is so helpful, every one here has such a servants heart, and is so willing to give a helping hand. they truly love others. i guess thats part of being a christian. they are encouraging me to step out reach out to others i think my love language though is encouraging or spending time. rather than acts of service . ill work on it,
every week is so perfectly placed, i am so thrilled that we have prayer week! ah i wish it was all year round. during prayer i randomly started hugging the cross, and embracing his love for me. it's odd too because I not one to show affection. but i know god will never leave me. after that i prayed for our classmates, and i found this day went by beautiful because God was with me.

Do one THING every day that your scared OF.
p.s the simple things in life , make life.
DOUBLE P.S I LOVE YOU
XOXO

:)

this week went excellent
Friday youth was a lot of fun. Im receiving lots of hugs from the kids, and they always tell me to come back next week , which of coarse i would. overall youth is going good. i love hearing stories of the girls. one girl even opened up to me about her family life, and i got to help her out which was great. i did a devotion for the girls and boys on Philippians 4.4. it spoke to them and me, and it was a good chance for me to step outside my comfort zone, and speak to the public.
Sunday service went well also. i help out with Vince in Sunday school, we talked about how we need to be care full with our words.
i really am enjoying my church and love all the people there.
this week w went to new life for a show. where a comedian came up and spoke about Christianity basically in churches today. he was funny and it made me think to how sometimes its okay to relax. the musician was peace full too.
QFX meeting went well our team thought of ideas for crafts at qwanoes, we all worked hard , and it worked out well where Scott bailey received a lot of input from all our ideas. overall kaleo is going good, and don is excellent speaker. the Lord continues to bless me every single week. this week we went to Kristie's house for cookies, it was a great time for the girls to bound and just relax in a differ net healthy working environment.

Hi everyone, thanks so much for your prayers.
This week I saw the olympic torch, the social event which took place crofton was superb. friday youth was once again swell, all the children love playing games with me , Ellie and Ben. I felt I was bonding with them hearing their backgrounds and just being silly, we always have a good time. My hope for that youth group is that there will be more students to attend over 15. my youth group started with 20 and finished with 400 so I know its possible. perhaps I was placed there to show them hope of growing there youth group, and more inportantly showing more kids to Christ.

Sunday church at Lady Smith Baptist was good too, I spent time with the children in Sunday school class, and assited the teacher, we drew pictures of Noahs Arc, and talked about Gods' creation. Overall sunday was one of a kind. or should I say 2. i wounder if you actually get that joke. Emma and Nate enjoyed Lady Smith also.

Kaleo this week taught me to have patience, which may go along with faith, to wait and find out why I'm actually placed here. I have a good idea, however I know God has more to show me, he has been too, the sunset at the doc today was amazing. Spending time with Ribs, and Merissa was so fun, Merissa teaches me patience and cares for our students so much.

heres some fun from your best friend me,

blogin er up

BONJOUR! well hello there friends. Merci for the prayers! hope all is well.
Well life in kaleo once again was swell. a bit tiring however God gave me strength which was righteous, and he got me through the week. currently its raining not that I've looked outside but just a wild guess.
this week i counselled i honestly was too thrilled about the idea at first, after finishing hermeneutics, i was a bit tired. however i ended up loving it! the kids were dolls, so cute, we did lots of activities where I'm sure we all connected on a spiritual level, they seemed open to the idea of God, and were asking questions, which was encouraging to me to share the gospel to others.
i have a goal each day to go to the doc, <-overlooking the ocean brings my thoughts together and helps me reflect. any who I've been so busy i never had a chance to go there. o well. surfing trip tomorrow, should be a great time to bond with the students and just have some break time. I'm looking forward to it. its amazing how blessed us students are.

each day i find myself learning one thing new, today i learned how god is always with you even when you think you cant go on and your by yourself, god with you. yes i know this is not a new concept but how often in life do we shrug these words of wisdom away.
Merril did a excellent job teaching us how to read the bible like a pro. however i think i would need to take that class 4000 times before I could.
overall I'm learning Independence, patience, and love, here at kaleo. and there are not too many courses which offer that.

God bless

Hi everyone , Thanks so much for all your prayers once again.

Well Kaleo is treating me well once again, I must say the weeks are going much more faster now. Each week I find myself bonding with more and more people. Having the girls night definitely helped that process on Thursday. Our girls really open up on what concerns they were currently facing and what needed prayer. I Believe in hope and I think in our world its rare to fine. I want to encourage our girls to hold on in times of trials and endure. By doing so you will gain pursuance which can't be bought.
On a lighter note we went caving, swimming and shopping all on one day, Tuesday. So much fun. The markets here are amazing filled with cultural diversity crafts, and food. Having amusing days lightens the load from our coarse load which I find to be quit intriguing and I;m learning a lot about the bible, so there really is no down side to the effort put in these papers.
The corn maze on Friday youth was superb! As I am connecting with these teens each and every week I find myself teaching them truth about how to grow as a Godly women, I imagine I'm being a influence on there decision making. Overall they're a riot, they're teaching me how to rap like a rock star too, so watch out.

I'll once again leave you off with some thrilling entertainment! Take care

Blog 3. Ministiries.

Hi everyone! Thanks again for the prayers! They're defiantly helping!

October 5-9 we went on out SALTS trip. Our tall ship Pacific grace was a beauty. She never acted up once through out the trip, just smooth sailing and sunsets. If only National Geographic were there. Although I was a bit disappointed there were no whale spotting's,bonding with people on the trip made up for it. I spent a lot of time with Caroline and got to here her story, she is such a blessing to our team and has a lot to offer. hearing personal stories of our brothers and sisters, on the ship was encouraging to pursue in times of hardship, it made me realize how it built them into who they are defined there character. I'm so happy to have such amazing friends.

My favourite time on the ship, was having solitude time with God in the morning. The Pacific ocean was calm, the sun was setting, and i was filled with peace. Letting God take all your cares away is such a relief.I feel energized to take on this year, thanks to God. Arriving at camp I was set to go to Lady Smith Baptist Church. Sunday i got a sense that I was where God wanted me to be . Like everything in Kaleo thus far has been planned out. I find I'm learning so much from these children at church. I came with the expectation that I would teach them things. It's funny how God works.
Here's some Corney gifts for you.
